While large enough to function as a passing plate for veggies or other, it'll easily double as a single serving dinner or generously portioned lunch plate. There's a nice depth for 'saucy' fare. Made of earthenware clay, plates can periodically be machine washed, but hand washing is suggested. They should thoroughly dry between use.
